In other news, my life is fucking eerie. Just thought everyone should know that.
More details as events resolve. Join us next week, and find out what the gods of irony have in store for Pat...

Yeah early morning blogging. Oh it has been crazy.
And by God I did do something suitably silly in that snow: no fewer than three snowball fights. And now we have some again. I have yet to figure out where I can take all these southerners sledding down here, but it shall be accomplished at some point.
Speaking of activities in the snow and cold, go Woodward Ice Ninjas! Broomball is the greatest sport known to man. Technically it’s played on ice, but the effect of a thin layer of fresh snow on extremely smooth ice is… interesting, but certainly not helpful to traction. Anyway, we won house 3-0, and I ran into Vazquez, nearly literally. It should be mentioned that the man knows no fear on ice.
Additionally, Shootfighter is the greatest movie known to man. I’m just going to quote liberally from Shu’s e-mail on the subject:
“The time has come for HARDCORE ACTION accompanied by HARDCORE TACTICS.
Join International Martial Arts ULTRASTAR Bolo Yeung for an action-packed evening of fighting to the death, tearing out hearts, and beautiful shots of compound fractures! Featuring a few subtitles of badly translated Mandarin with underlined words for EXTRA EMPHASIS!
Witness the sensation that has spread across Delaware and Gary's Beer & Liquor!
Shootfighter: Fight to the Death!!!!!!!!
Playing the day after tomorrow morning at the most hardcore time possible, 1:37 in the AM.
You cats and daddy-o's be there or be shootfought to the ULTIMATE DEATH!!!
P.S. Shootfighting cannot be explained, it must be seen to be appreciated.
P.P.S. Acting ability is kind of like a dial, once you hit 0, you go back to 10.”
Yeah. Watch it. You too will be cackling madly at Bolo’s pregnant silences and subtle facial expressions. Also, the protagonist is named Ruben. Come on.

Correction: Now this is snow. Beautiful, beautiful snow. I need to go out and do something appropriately silly in it tomorrow.
Presently trying to finagle a way for my mp3 player and iTunes to cooperate smoothly. Damn your defaulting to AAC format, Apple! Moving on…
Oh, and I have an mp3 player now. only a 256 MB model. PC shall serve as the database (which I was doing with iTunes, but…), and there shall be much random shuffling between them.
Today, well, today I spent too much time playing Rome: Total War. I happily report that it is an excellent game, and furthermore, the Seleucids rock. They’re like Greeks, but with elephants, and elephants are suitably badass (also, well-nigh invulnerable). And I skipped fencing because, well, you try fencing three day in a row and see if you can walk.
Finally, Michel de Montaigne has an inordinately positive view of cannibals.

Now this is snow. Whee!
And so I have returned to school again. Back to living with a vampire, a Southern Jew, and the Singaporean heartthrob who talks about tomatoes in his sleep...
And the pace of life suddenly shifts back into overdrive. Classes, fencing, college bowl, etc. The rest of the week should calm down slightly. I am slowly getting better at hitting people with pointy sticks, although whether my legs will survive this process is another question entirely.
At any rate. Break was fun. 'Twas cool to see people again. And once again I'll mention that I am still technically in town, although mobility is an issue.
I am le tired. More tomorrow.
